Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #09 -08 -XXX <br />RESOLUTION ADOPTING GUIDELINES FOR ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATIONS <br />BETWEEN COUNCILMEM 3ERS <br />WHEREAS, the City Council and its various committees, subcommitttees, boards, <br />commissions ,and groups are subject to the open meeting law; and <br />WHEREAS, electronic communications between members of the above referenced <br />group are subject to the open meeting law; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council wants to take all reasonable steps to avoid violations of <br />the open meeting law by the City Council, its various committees, subcommittees, boards, <br />commissions and groups. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br />1) That the attached `.Guidelines for Electronic Communications between Councilmembers' <br />in the City of Ramsey are hereby adopted by the City of Ramsey. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />and the following were absent: <br />whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council <br />this the 25t' day of August, 2009. <br />Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br />City Clerk <br />
