Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION 409 -08 -XXX <br />RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING THE DUTIES OF THE FINANCE <br />COMMITTEE <br />WHEREAS, the finance committee (previously known as the budget committee) was <br />established in 1991; and <br />WHEREAS; the role of the committee is to review and make recommendations to the <br />City Council regarding financial matters that may arise; and <br />WHEREAS the finance committee will oversee the following matters that have a <br />financial impact on the City: <br />1. <br />Current Year General Fund Budget — Proposed, Amended and Adopted <br />2. <br />Capital Improvement Plan: Verify necessary funding sources <br />3. <br />Capital Outlay Requests for Equipment that exceed $25,000 . <br />4. <br />Land Acquisitions -Other than those acquired via the EDA or HRA <br />5. <br />Capital Projects -Municipal Buildings, Streets, Sewer Improvements, Storm Water <br />Improvements, Street Improvements, and Water Improvements <br />6. <br />Unbudgeted General Fund Requests that exceed $10,000 <br />7. <br />Bond Issuance <br />8. <br />Change and or creation of fund/investment/financial policies <br />9. <br />Any other financial activity that has a significant financial impact on the city <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1. That the Ramsey City Council authorizes the duties of the finance committee as those <br />itemized above. <br />The motion for the adoption of the.foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />and the following were absent: <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council <br />this the 11`x' day of August 2009. <br />
