Absent: None <br />Case # 6 STAFF UPDATE <br />Economic Development Coordinator Sullivan reviewed some projects. <br />New Business Prospects: <br />QDP & JBT submitted plans to do a 20,000 sq. foot building in Sunfish Lake Business Lake <br />Park. They want to start construction this year. More details to later. <br />Martin EDM --- Is still planning to do the proposed 15,000 SF expansion on the current site. <br />They are waiting for the economy to settle down before moving forward. <br />JJ'S Pizza is on hold right now because of financing. <br />Cousins Subs had its' grand opening on Thursday, June 25th. <br />Business Communication Initiatives <br />The invitations for the Business Appreciation Day were sent out the week of June 23rd. Talk to <br />all your business contacts and encourage them to sign up for this event. Any EDA members that <br />would be interested in attending the event, and would like to be on a city team, let Economic <br />Development Coordinator Sullivan know so he can get a count. Let him know if you will be <br />attending the dinner and bringing spouses or quests. <br />Miscellaneous <br />Town Center: The City of Ramsey purchase Ramsey Town Center on June 26, 2009. The City <br />Council, EDA and planning Commission had a work session had a meeting on June 16th, to look <br />into the future and see what the Town Center might be or what it could be developed into. <br />Ramsey Rotary Event: City Council/EDA member Elvig and Jeffrey spent the afternoon <br />networking with representatives from Diamond Graphics.
