must coincide with the last day of a calendar year. Notice to Ramsey shall be served -on the City Administrator or City Clerk if there is no City Administrator, and notice to Nowthen shall be served on the City Clerk. E. The obligations of the parties to make payment for services rendered during the term of this Agreement shall survive the termination of this Agreement. F. The existing fire service contract between Nowthen and Ramsey dated August 1, 2006 shall remain in full force and effect until the commencement date of this Agreement as set out in paragraph 7A above, at which time said August 1, 2006 fire service contract shall terminate. G. Either party may at any time request in writing change or amendment to this contract related to cost sharing or other terms. If mutually agreed upon, such changes may be adopted by execution by officials of both parties of an amendment to this contract. 8. DISPOSITION OF PERSONNEL AND ASSETS AFTER TERMINATION A. Within one year prior to the termination or expiration of the term of this Agreement, but no later than 120 days prior to the termination or expiration of the term of this Agreement, Nowthen may elect, via written notice to Ramsey, to retain the fire and rescue personnel assigned to the Nowthen fire station for Nowthen own fire department or any other fire department Nowthen may enter into a joint powers agreement with. In such event Ramsey shall calculate the total - amount of Ramsey fire relief association money attributable to Nowthen - - ("Nowthen Fire Relief Fund"), which shall be the sum of: Nowthen proportion o FSRB proceeds received from the State during the term of this Agreement which were derived from property located in Nowthen; and 2) the annual fire relief association contributions paid by Nowthen during the term of this Agreement; and 3) the interest earned on both the Nowthen portion of the FSRB and Nowthen' fire relief association contributions described above. Once calculated, Ramsey shall transfer to a Nowthen fire relief association or the fire relief association of another fire department as directed by Nowthen and which Nowthen has entered into a joint powers agreement with, the following amounts: The present value of the vested pension benefits for all Ramsey fire fighters who remain with the Nowthen fire department or a department which Nowthen has entered into a joint power agreement with ("Vested Benefits"; and ii. The Nowthen Fire Relief Fund multiplied by a ration consisting of the number of Ramsey. fire personnel assigned to the Nowthen fire station 10
