<br />Councilmember Dehen. stated that he would like to know what "impact" means. <br /> <br />City Engineer Himmer stated that when he says impact, he means that they will be removed, but <br />noted that they are within the City's right-of-way. <br /> <br />Mayor Ramsey reiterated that the City will not make a decision tonight on whether sidewalks are <br />supposed to be included or not and encouraged residents to come to the next meeting <br /> <br />Greg Herrick, 15581 Andrie Street, stated that the Council can state that they do not want to go <br />out for a sidewalk bid. He noted that he. felt that Mayor Ramsey implied that residents would <br />have a chance to share their opinions during this agenda item when he opened the meeting for <br />Citizen Input. <br /> <br />Mayor Ramsey noted that the Council did accept the petition from the residents earlier and again <br />reiterated that residents can come to the future meeting when the decision will be made. <br /> <br />Public Works Director Olson noted that he can notify the neighborhood of the future meeting <br />where this item will be discussed. <br /> <br />A woman from the audience stated that the people have spoken and do not want a sidewalk. She <br />stated that the trees being affected are. large oak trees, which will adversely impact the <br />environment and noted that there is no good reason to include a sidewalk. She stated that she <br />feels the Council should listen to the people on this issue. <br /> <br />Mayor Ramsey reiterated that further discussion will happen at the September 8, 2009 meeting. <br /> <br />Case #3: <br /> <br />Amend Resolution Establishing the Ramsey Town Center Steering <br />Committee Membership to Provide for an Additional Member <br /> <br />Deputy City Administrator Nelson reviewed the staff report. <br /> <br />Councilmember Dehen asked about the process for finding these additional members. <br /> <br />Deputy City Administrator Nelson noted that this committee had been discussed at an earlier <br />Work Session and she was given a list of names to contact regarding serving on this committee. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Jeffrey, seconded by Councilmember Wise, to adopt Resolution #09- <br />08-172 amending Resolution #09-07-138 Establishing the Ramsey Town Center Steering <br />Committee. . <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Ramsey, Councilmembers Jeffrey, Wise, Dehen, Elvig, <br />Look, and McGlone.
