<br />9.11.08 <br /> <br />4 <br /> <br />Attachment A <br /> <br />Residential Development. Off-Street Parking. <br /> <br />Subd.1. <br />, <br /> <br />General Provisions. <br /> <br />a. In any Residential District, inside parking of licensed and/or unlicensed <br />motor vehicles and equipment, commercial or private, shall be permitted. <br /> <br />b. In any Residential District, no outside parking of any motor vehicle or <br />equipment shall be permitted, EXCEPT as follows: <br /> <br />1. Currently licensed and operable motor vehicles, the primary <br />purpose of which is for private transportation or recreational use <br />may be parked in the front yard if on a driveway or in the side or <br />rear yard provided they are parked on a residential parking <br />surface that consists of either bituminous pavement or concrete, <br />or outside the boundaries. of the Metropolitan Urban Service <br />Area (MUSA) on a minimum of recycled concrete, bituminous <br />or prepared gravel. <br /> <br />2. Equipment, the primary purpose of which is for private or <br />personal/recreational use, may be parked in the front yard if on a <br />driveway or in the side yard on a residential- parking surface of <br />either bituminous pavement or concrete, or outside the <br />boundaries of the MUSA on a minimum of recycled concrete, <br />bituminous, or prepared gravel, or in the rear yard. <br /> <br />3. Commercial use motor vehicles and equipment may be parked <br />outside for short-term periods (8 hours or less) or for long terms <br />under the following conditions: <br /> <br />(a) The vehicles and/or equipment shall be screened to a degree <br />of75% at ground level view. . <br /> <br />(b) The vehicles and/or equipment shall be parked only on the <br />side yard or rear yard of the subject property and said items shall <br />be parked on a residential parking surface that consists of either <br />bituminous pavement or concrete, or outside the boundaries of <br />the MUSA on a minimum of con bit or prepared gravel with at <br />least 2 inch base. <br /> <br />(c) Commercial use vehicles and equipment intended to be <br />parked outside that cannot meet the criteria- established in 3i or <br />3ii above but can provide for alternatives to same, shall be <br />required to obtain an Interim Use Permit. <br />
