Minimize the temporary and permanent impact on the resources as urbanization continues <br />throughout the WMO. <br /> <br />Policy 8.1 : WMO encourages the preservation of natural vegetation. <br /> <br />Policy 8.2: Erosion control practices shall be required for land disturbance activities. <br /> <br />Policy 8.3: Soil erosion shall be prevented through the installation of erosion control practices <br />accordance with MPCA's Best Management Practices Handbook. <br /> <br />Policy 8.4: Topsoil stockpiled for reuse shall be protected from erosion. <br /> <br />Policy 8.5: It shall be the responsibility of the developer/contractor to keep streets and property <br />adjacent to construction areas free from sediment carried by construction traffic at <br />site entrances and access points, and from site runoff and blowing dust. <br /> <br />Policy 8.6: The MPCA Storm Water Permit Program for Construction Activities shall be <br />followed. <br /> <br />Regulatory Responsibility <br />Goals <br />1 To recognize the regulatory authority of local, state, and federal agencies. <br /> <br />Policy 9.1: The WMO will require a permit for certain activities, as described in this plan. <br /> <br />Policy 9.2: Other governmental agencies with watershed management responsibility include: <br /> <br />.
