<br />The plan is for the Eastern swoosh park. This park is to have a water feature as well as an <br />amphitheatre. The city received a $360,000 grant from the Metropolitan Council Livable <br />. Communities. The City is now moving ahead and trying to get a consultant on. board. The City <br />needs to meet the grant obligations and have the grant money spent by June of next year. <br /> <br />Discussion on the bus service. The riders want the bus to continue running. <br /> <br />Economic Development Consultant Mike Mulrooney stated that EDA has come a long way. <br />At the previous EDA meeting the NDC certification program was discussed and it was decided <br />to send Economic Development Coor:dinator Sullivan and Deputy City Administrator Nelson to <br />the training program. Mike Mulrooney announced that the EDAM Foundation has awarded a <br />$1000 scholarship to assist in the training for EconomIc Development Coordinator Sullivan and <br />Deputy City Administrator / Director of Community DevelopmentNelson. <br /> <br />Motion by Member LeTourneau seconded by Member Steffen to adjourn the meeting. <br /> <br />Motion carried.
