POLICY BOARD BUSINESS

Case #1:

Water Conservation Guidebook/Tool Box

Environmental Coordinator Anderson presented the staff report.

Chairperson Max presented his draft webpage with the information collected to date.

The Board discussed how to best go about reviewing and editing all of the information collected
by individual members. Consensus of the Board was to focus on the following sections first:
. Ramsey Rules . How to Grow Grass
. Grant Opportunities (Financial . Alternative Landscaping
Assistance)
. Top Ten Lists (Indoor and Outdoor)

The following Board Members volunteered to edit the sections in the following order:
1. Board Member Riley-Daniels
2. Board Member Bentz
3. Board Member Hassett
4. Board Member Enstrom

Environmental Coordinator Anderson is to distribute electronic copies of each section to all
Board Members and then each reviewer is to send their edits back to Environmental Coordinator
Anderson for incorporation and then redistribution to the Board. This process would continue
until each section is complete. Once reviewing is complete, Environmental Coordinator
Anderson will forward the final draft sections to Chairperson Max for incorporation into
webpage.

BOARD/STAFF INPUT

Environmental Coordinator informed the Board that the regular September meeting is scheduled
for Labor Day and so it would need to be rescheduled. August 31 was chosen as the date that
worked for a majority of the Board. Board Member Enstrom stated that he will be out of town
on that date.

Board Member Enstrom inquired about others thoughts on the joint meeting with the LRRWMO.

Board Member Hassett similarly inquired about how the second part of the wetland protection
public input meeting went.

ADJOURNMENT

Motion by Board Member Riley-Daniels and seconded by Board Member Freeburg to adjourn
the meeting.

The meeting adjourned at 8:25 p.m.

Environmental Policy Board / August 3, 2009
Page 2 of3
