<br />Case #2: <br /> <br />Public Hearing to Consider Execution of Business Subsidy Agreement with <br />QDP & JBT Alliance, LLC <br /> <br />Mayor Ramsey closed the regular portion of the City Council meeting at 7:33 p.m. in order to <br />conduct a public hearing. <br /> <br />Public Hearine: <br /> <br />Mayor Ramsey called the public hearing to order at 7:33 p.m. <br /> <br />Presentation <br /> <br />Economic Development Coordinator Sullivan reviewed the staff report. <br /> <br />Citizen Input <br /> <br />There was none. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Dehen, seconded by Councilmember Look, to close the public <br />hearing. <br /> <br />Motion carried. V oting Yes: Mayor Ramsey, Councilmembers Dehen, Look, Elvig, McGlone, <br />and Wise. Voting No: None. Absent: Councilmember Jeffrey. <br /> <br />The public hearing was closed at 7:36 p.m. <br /> <br />Council Business <br /> <br />Mayor Ramsey called the regular City Council meeting back to order at 7:36 p.m. <br /> <br />Troy Holien, QDP Technologies, stated they are a machine shop and provide parts for all types <br />of industries, including recreation, medical, and automotive. <br /> <br />Jeff Traun, JBT Machining, stated they are also a machine shop and they work with 16 different <br />industries, including medical, packaging equipment, and the food industry. He stated that JBT <br />and QDP are out of space in their current locations they have been renting for 15 years, and <br />decided to come together as a team on this project to help with costs. <br /> <br />Economic Development Coordinator Sullivan provided an overview of the business subsidy <br />agreement and noted that an assistance package of $250,000 is being provided and in return, the <br />business owners create jobs. He indicated that approximately $14,000 in taxes generated per <br />year from this project will be used to assist the City with its payment for public improvements <br />and land acquisition within the TIF District. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Look, seconded by Councilmember Elvig, to Authorize Business <br />Subsidy Agreement with QDP & JBT ALLIANCE, LLC. <br /> <br />City Council / August 25, 2009 <br />Page 7 of 19 <br />
