Nelson <br />Associate Planner Timothy Gladhill <br />Public Works Director Brian Olson <br />Fire Chief Dean Kapler <br />Police Chief James Way <br />City Attorney William Goodrich <br /> <br />Mayor Ramsey called the City Council Work Session to order at 5:30 p.m. <br /> <br />APPROVE AGENDA <br /> <br />The agenda was approved as submitted. <br /> <br />COUNCIL TOPICS FOR DISCUSSION <br /> <br />1) Consider Options for the Ramsey Star Express <br /> <br />Public Works Director Olson reviewed the staff report and the history of the CMAQ grant the <br />City received. He noted that Natalie Haas Steffan of the Met Council is present tonight <br />regarding this issue also. He stated that the question is whether the City continues with the bus <br />service or not, in light of the upcoming Northstar Commuter Rail service. He reviewed the City <br />costs to offer the bus service. He noted that the Council has three options: discontinue the bus <br />service, continue the bus service at the same fare, or continue the bus service with an increase in <br />the fare. <br /> <br />City Council Work Session / August 11,2009 <br />Page 1 of5 <br />
