<br />CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a City Council Work Session on Tuesday, August 11,2009, <br />at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 7550 Sunwood Drive NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Bob Ramsey <br />Councilmember John Dehen <br />Councilmember David Elvig <br />Councilmember David Jeffrey <br />Councilmember Matt Look <br />Councilmember Colin McGlone <br />Councilmember Jeffrey Wise <br /> <br />City Administrator Kurtis Ulrich <br />Deputy City Administrator Heidi A. Nelson <br />Associate Planner Timothy Gladhill <br />Public Works Director Brian Olson <br />Fire Chief Dean Kapler <br />Police Chief James Way <br />City Attorney William Goodrich <br /> <br />Mayor Ramsey called the City Council Work Session to order at 5:30 p.m. <br /> <br />APPROVE AGENDA <br /> <br />The agenda was approved as submitted. <br /> <br />COUNCIL TOPICS FOR DISCUSSION <br /> <br />1) Consider Options for the Ramsey Star Express <br /> <br />Public Works Director Olson reviewed the staff report and the history of the CMAQ grant the <br />City received. He noted that Natalie Haas Steffan of the Met Council is present tonight <br />regarding this issue also. He stated that the question is whether the City continues with the bus <br />service or not, in light of the upcoming Northstar Commuter Rail service. He reviewed the City <br />costs to offer the bus service. He noted that the Council has three options: discontinue the bus <br />service, continue the bus service at the same fare, or continue the bus service with an increase in <br />the fare. <br /> <br />City Council Work Session / August 11,2009 <br />Page 1 of5 <br />
