Attachment A Commissioner adoption: introduced the following resolution and moved for its RESOLUTION #09-09-007 A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING COMPENSATION FOR HRA COMMISSIONERS. WHEREAS, pursuant to the authority granted in Minn. Stat. Chapter 469 the City of Ramsey, Anoka County, Minnesota (the "City") has established a Housing and Redevelopment Authority ("HRA") to serve the City and for the purposes as prescribed in Minn. Stat. ~469. 001; and WHEREAS, Minn. Stat. ~469.0 11 Subd. 4 provides that each HRA ". . . commissioner may be paid up to $75.00 for attending each regular and special meeting of the authority."; and WHEREAS, the City's HRA Commissioners are all elected officials serving as Councilmembers on the City's City Council; and WHEREAS, Minn. Stat.~469.011 Subd. 4 further provides that "Commissioners who are elected officials may receive the daily payment for a particular day only if they do not receive any other daily payment for public service on that day."; and WHEREAS, as City Councilmembers, said individuals receive no daily payment for a particular day but rather receive a monthly salary; and WHEREAS, the HRA desires to pay its Commissioners as provided in Minn. Stat. S469.0 11, Subd.4. NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council ofthe CitY of Ramsey as follows: 1: That commencing on and after September 8, 2009, HRA Commissioners shall be paid at the rate of $75.00 for attending each regular and special meeting of the authority. 2. That the source of funds for the per meeting payment as described herein shall be from the HRA's budgeted funds as established by the Ramsey City Council.
