CASE # 4

ADDITIONAL FUNDING FOR CONSULTING SERVICES
By: Amber G. Miller, Planning Manager

Background:

The City's Consultant, Landform, came on board in July to' assist the City Council and Steering
Committee with refining the vision for Ramsey Town Center. Since coming on board, there
have been several Steering Committee meetings, a Public Open House, comniunity focus group,
and numerous stakeholder meetings.

When the public participation piece of the process was originally proposed there were fewer
stakeholder meetings than actually took place. In order to accommodate the number of
stakeholders and the process to obtain feedback and data from them, additional meetings had to
be added. This added additional costs to the original scope of services that cannot be absorbed
by the current contract amount. .

Landform has provided us an Additional Services Authorization which summarizes the
additional scope; it is attached for your review. There is approximately $1,000 leftover that was
allocated toward the Altoona trip that was not spent that could also be re-allocatedtoward the
additional funding request.

Recommendation:

Staff would recommend approving an additional $4,000 funding to complete scope of services.

Board Action:

Motion to Approve additional $4,000 funding to complete scope of services.

Or

Motion to Deny additional $4,000 funding to complete scope of services.

Reviewed by:

HRA: 09.08.09

Attachm~nts:
A: Additional Services Authorization

21
