<br />Public Notice <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />Attention: <br />City Water Customers <br />Odd/Even Day Sprinking Ban <br /> <br />To reduce peak water usage in <br />areas served by the municipal water <br />system, the city of RaIllsey has imple- <br />mented an odd/even day sprinkling <br />ban, pursuant to City Code 4.40.06 <br />subd. 10. The sprinkling baIl will be <br />in effect from May 26 until Septem- <br />ber 8. <br />Residents may water their lawns <br />on odd numbered days if their address <br />ends in all odd number aIld on even <br />numbered days if their address ends <br />in an even number. <br />The sprinkling restriction in- <br />cludes no watering between 10:00 <br />aIll and 8:00 pm since a significaIlt <br />amount of water is lost due to evapo- <br />ration during the hot pOliions of the <br />dav. Homeowners with automated <br /> <br />systems are strongly encouraged to <br />program their irrigation systems to <br />operate after 10:00 pm. This mini- <br />mizes evaporation and lessens peak <br />demaIld on the Municipal water <br />system. <br />The only exception to the City <br />Code is for new sod or seeded areas. <br />They may be watered every day for <br />two weeks to establish root growth, <br />but not between 10:00 aIll aIld 8:00 <br />pm. <br />In addition to the residential <br />sprinkling ban, the city is in the <br />process of implementing all irrigation <br />policy that is specific to townhhome, <br />multifaIllily residential and com- <br />mercial connections to the municipal <br />water supply requiring that: <br /> <br />Well Water Wise Week <br />May 4 through May 8, 2009 <br /> <br />The Anoka County Community <br />Health and Environmental Services <br />Depmiment will be accepting well <br />water saIllples Monday through <br />Thursday, 8: 00 aIll to 4: 15 pm, aIld <br />until 12:00 noon on Friday during <br />Well Water Wise Week. <br />You CaIl pick up your test kit at <br />the RaIllsey Municipal Center lo- <br />cated at 7550 Sunwood Drive NW in <br />RaIllsey between the hours of 8:00 <br />aIll and 4:30 pm. <br />Submit Water Sample to: Com- <br />munity Health & Environmental <br />Services, 360 Anoka County Govern- <br />ment Center, 2100 Third Avenue <br /> <br />Anoka, MN 55303. More specifically, <br />the frequency of having a contractor <br />pump their taIlk(s). <br />According to City Code 8.30, <br />Sewage Treatment Systems, the <br />owner or agent of all individual sew- <br />age taIlk(s) shall have them pumped <br />regularly, or in no case less frequently <br />thaIl every three years.
