<br />The Ramsey Fire Depaltment invites YOU to attend its
<br />al1l1ual open house on Saturday, October 10 from ll:OOam
<br />- 2:00pm. It will be held at Fire Station # L located at
<br />15050 Armstrong Boulevard NW, Ralnsey, MN. Come
<br />meet your local firefighters, check out the cool equipment
<br />and see the big red trucks. Stop by for a visit and free
<br />lunch of hot dogs, chips alld pop.
<br />This is a great oppOltunity to visit your fire depaltment
<br />alld get to meet the firefighters face to face. Activities will
<br />include demonstrations, safety tips, a inflatable jumper for
<br />kids, tours through the vehicles alld fire station. alld much
<br />more.

<br />Night to Unite
<br />is a Big Hit in Ramsey!
<br />

<br />Our first al1l1ual Night
<br />to Unite (formerly
<br />National Night Out)
<br />city-wide event was celebrated by all estimated 2.700 resi-
<br />dents and involved more thall 1,500 households. Forty-
<br />five registered Night to Unite block palties enjoved vi~its
<br />from the Police alld Fire Depaltments, McGn~ff~ Scruff.
<br />alld our City Council. Night to Unite will always be the
<br />first Tuesday in August. If you didn't get a ch~lce to host
<br />all event in your neighborhood this year - put a reminder
<br />on your calendar for next year - plal1l1ing stalts early!

<br />177 Kids Attend Annual
<br />Safety Camp
<br />
<br />Ralnsey's eighth al1l1ual two-day Kid's Safety Calnp
<br />held in June was a great success. This year the Calnp
<br />hosted a record 177 area youth and provided safety les-
<br />sons for preventing unintentional injuries during e~ery
<br />day activities. The Calnpers attended sessions on poison
<br />prevention, Hazard House, safety topics while home alone.
<br />bike safety (including being fit with a bralld new helmet), .
<br />brain injury prevention, boosters, seat belts & airbags, first
<br />aid, water safety, and palticipated in Outdoor Survival
<br />Jeopardy. They also enjoyed a DJ, a canine demonstration
<br />alld were able to leam about fire trucks and firefighters!
