August 24, z0o9 k.:~ .~ ~1~~~~~~ Ta Whom It May Concern: Enclosed is our payment for the Ciry Services of Ramsey MN, I would like this letter given to-who ever would handle the real estate ar property assessments in Ramsey. I feel our property taxes are high and we are expected to pay them to keep athe city and communities in good conditions. 7 have lived in Ramsey for 2~-years and have seen a lot of changes that I have not likecL They chopped down every tree that use to be so niche to walk through to put in these large houses that peaple really could not afford. -They also put an the black over from us on Dysprosium a bunch of run down shacks. They were built so bad and cheap that they were all falling apart a couple months after they were first put up. I spoke to my real estate company and because of the foreclosures in our area it brought the value of our home dawn a lat. Every day I drive by those houses they just make me sick to look at some of them: that have been le, fit and uncared far I feel the idea of cramping all those pauses 4 to a driveway was the worst idea anybody has ever had in my life. I would like to request that if those homes are foreclosed names that Ramsey should try and get them from the bank and just plow them down and open the land back up, I am wandering also that if the money we have lost in the. value of our home if Ramsey is going to cut our taxes. We lost at least $100,000.00 in the value of our name. I know a lot of peaple are struggling at this time, but Ramsey should have thought of that when they built all those giant houses behind the pond on 142"d .That use to be all woods that we could walk through and take our dogs for walks. I have seen so many wild animals in my yard including deer looking for a place to go. But my biggest problem right now is the GHETTO houses on dysprosium. They are not all bad, but some of them just upset me because that is affecting the value of our home and others in the area. I would like for you to bring this to the housing people you go to and discuss these issues. I should not have to pay taxes an my house if it is oat worth what it was appraised by the city of Ramsey for. The city let all these developers buy this land and put what ever they wanted an the land and now all of the houses are beingfareclosed an according to my mortgage company and that is causing the market value of my pause to folk It was just about a month or two ago that same guy had himself held up in one of these houses because he held a gun at some kids at the parr That standoff lasted far hours and Ramsey had every body out there from every city (Gaon Rapids, Anoka, Blaine, the Swat team and an ambulance ready and waiting. How much did this cost the tax payers of Ramsey? He said it was because he lost his job and was upset. Well I would like to let that guy know that half of America lost their jobs :and houses.
