<br />CASE # ~ <br /> <br />CONSIDER RECOMMENDING ORDINANCE TO CITY COUNCIL FOR THE <br />AMENDMENT OF CHARTER SUBSECTION 2.5 AND 4.5 <br />By: William K. Goodrich, City Attorney <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />At the Commission's meeting on May 19, 2009, a motion was passed to recommend <br />amendments to Subsection 2.5 as presented but eliminating the liaison provision. Also, <br />said motion included the proposed amendments to Subsection 4.5. Both of said <br />subsection revisions are therefore presented to the Commission in the form of an <br />ordinance which will then be presented to the City Council for its consideration. The <br />City Council will need to schedule a public hearing on the ordinance and then adopt it by <br />unanimous vote for it to become effective. <br /> <br />PLEASE NOTE the Commission may want to delay action on the subject ordinance until <br />final action is taken on the Chapter 8 issues, in order to have one ordinance amendment <br />process for all of the amendments. <br /> <br />Enclosures: <br /> <br />.
