<br />RELATED EXPERIENCE <br /> <br />SCOTTSDALE, ARIZONA <br />. While employed at Design Workshop, Jeff McMenimen served as the project manager <br />and designer for urban, streetscape and plaza design related to the Kierland Commons <br />specialty retail center located within the Kierland Master Planned Community in Scottsdale, <br />Arizona. Jeff managed the master planning, site design, design guidelines and city approval <br />process. The plan for Kierland Commons offers a smart growth alternative to the greater <br />Phoenix area sprawl. This compact, mixed-use development includes multi-family housing, <br />shopping and employment opportunities within walking distance of each other, reducing <br />the need for commuting and encouraging heavier pedestrian use.
