PUBLIC HEARINGS/BOARD BUSINESS <br />Case #1: Appointment of Chairperson and Vice Chairperson for Year 2009 <br />Associate Planner Gladhill presented the staff report. <br />Motion by Board Member Cleveland, seconded by Board Member Levine to appoint Board <br />Member Van Scoy as Chairperson of the Board of Adjustment for 2009. <br />Motion Carried. Voting Yes: Board Members Cleveland, Levine, Dunaway, Hunt, and Rogers. <br />Voting No: None. Absent: None. Abstain: Chairperson Van Scoy <br />Motion by Board Member Dunaway, seconded by Board Member Levine to appoint Board <br />Member Cleveland as Vice Chairperson of the Board of Adjustment for 2009. <br />Motion Carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Van Scoy, Board Members Dunaway, Levine, Hunt, <br />and Rogers. Voting No: None. Absent: None. Abstain: Board Member Cleveland. <br />Case #2: Public Hearing — Request for a Variance to Construct an Accessory Building <br />Nearer the Front Property Line with a Variance to Front Yard Setback and <br />Sidewall Height; Case of Russell Peterson <br />Chairperson Van Scoy closed the regular portion of the Board of Adjustment meeting in order to <br />conduct the public hearing. <br />Public Hearing <br />Chairperson Van Scoy called the public hearing to order. <br />Presentation <br />Associate Planner Gladhill presented the staff report. <br />Citizen Input <br />Russell Peterson, 17725 Nowthen Blvd., the applicant, stated this is an addition to an existing <br />building and he will be bringing it forward on the property. The addition will allow him to store <br />all his equipment inside. <br />Associate Planner Gladhill stated that this approval should be contingent on hearing back from <br />Anoka County. Their 30 -day review period is about to end. Given it is a County State Aid <br />Highway; we need to make sure there are no additional right -of -way needs for County State Aid <br />#5. <br />Board of Adjustment /August 6, 2009 <br />Page 2 of 4 <br />
