Absent: None. <br />Case #3: Public Hearing — Request for a Home Occupation Permit; Case of David and <br />Jean Hauan <br />Public Hearing <br />Chairperson Levine called the public hearing to order at 8:42 p.m. <br />Presentation <br />Planning Manager Miller presented the Staff Report <br />Citizen Input <br />Dave Hauan, 16341 Jarvis. Street, the applicant stated he has been operating his father & son <br />business for fifteen years. The business is heavily screened. The reason he is before the <br />Commission is that he does the septic maintenance and repair for the City and before he could <br />continue he needed to receive a home occupation permit. <br />Commissioners discussed the screening of the property and determined additional screening was <br />not necessary. <br />Motion by Chairperson Levine, seconded by Commissioner Dunaway, to close the public <br />hearing. <br />Motion Carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Levine, Commissioners, Dunaway, Cleveland, Hunt, <br />Rogers, and Van Scoy. Voting No: None. Absent: None. <br />The public hearing closed at 8:57 p.m. <br />Commission Business <br />Motion by Commissioner Dunaway, seconded by Commissioner Rogers, to recommend City <br />Council adopt the findings of fact favorable relating to the applicant's request for a home <br />occupation permit. <br />Motion Carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Levine, Commissioners Dunaway, Rogers, <br />Cleveland, and Hunt. Voting No: None. Absent: None. <br />Motion by Chairperson Levine, seconded by Commissioner Dunaway, to recommend that the <br />City Council approve the applicant's request for a home occupation permit based on the findings <br />of fact with removal of #7 of the home occupation permit. <br />Motion Carried.
