.

.

.

REC'D SEP 04: 2009

tt- LPlD ZSll9
(}a'l~ ~tl tJefl
J W1l0 f!cwyrPtt ~). MfI

August 24, 2009

To Whom It May Concern:

Enclosed is our paymelJt!or the City Services of Ramsey MN.
1 would like this letter given to who ever would handle the real estate or property
assessments in Ramsey. "
[Iee/ouf property taxes afe high and we are expected to pay them to keep tJIe city and
communities in good conditions.
[ have lived in Ramsey for 23 years and have seen a lot of changes that I have not
liked.
They chopped down every tree that use to be so niche to walk through to put in these
large houses that people really could not afford. They also put on the block over from
us on Dysprosium a bunch of run down shacks. Tiley were built so bad and cheap that
they were all falling apart a couple months after they were first put up.
[spoke to my real est(lte company and because oftheloreclosures in our area it
brought the value of our home down a lot.
Every day [drive by those houses they just make me sick to look at some of them that
have been left and uncared for.
I feel the idea of cramping all those houses 4 to a driveway was the worst idea anybody
has ever had in my life.
I would like to request that if those homes areforeclosed homes that Ramsey should try
and get themfrom the bank and just plow them down and open the land back up.
I am wondering also that if the money we have lost in the value of our home if Ramsey
is going to cut our taxes. We lost at least $100,000.00 in the value of our home.
1 know a lot of people are struggling at this time, but Ramsey should have thought of
that when they built all those giant houses behind the pond on 141'd. That use to be all
woods that we could walk through and take our dogs for walks. 1 have seen so many
wild animals in my yard including deer looking for a place to go.
But my biggest problem right 1I0W is the GHETTO houses on dysprosium. They afe
not all bad, but some of them just upset me because that is affecting the value of our
49me and others in the area. .
I would likefor you to bring this to the housing people you go to and discuss these
issues. [should not have to pay taxes on my house ifit is not worth what it was
appraised by the city of Ramsey for.
The city let all these developers buy this land and put what ever they wallted on the
land and now all oftl,e houses are being/orec/osed on according to my mortgage
company al.d that Is causing tl,e market value 0/ my house to fall.
\ It was just about a month or two a,o that some guy had himself held up in one of these
houses because he held a gun at some kids at the park. That standoff lasted for hours
. and Ramsey had every body out therefrom every city (Coon Rapids, Anoka, Blaine, the
Swat team and an ambulance ready and waiting.
How much did this cost the tax payers of Ramsey?
He said it was because he lost his job and was upset. Weill would like to let that guy
know that half of America lost their jobs altd houses.
