<br />Mayor Ramsey asked when the City was going to make a commitment to fund the project and <br />move forward. <br /> <br />Councilmember Elvig stated he was concerned about the overpasses, which were big issues and <br />the City needed a plan before approaching the legislators. <br /> <br />Public Works Director Olson noted staff had looked at seven different alternatives for the <br />Armstrong overpass and every alterative came up with the overpass in the proposed location. <br /> <br />Councilmember McGlone stated the City still had to feed traffic into Town Center and he <br />believed the City's focus should be in marketing the area. <br /> <br />Councilmember Dehen stated he agreed with Councilmember Look that the City needed to look <br />at alternatives for the Armstrong overpass. <br /> <br />Councilmember Look noted the original plans did not call for an overpass on Armstrong. <br /> <br />Public Works Director Olson responded he was correct the plans did not call for an overpass on <br />Armstrong. <br /> <br />Councilmember Look noted the cost difference for an overpass was significant. <br /> <br />Mr. Lazan asked for direction as to what the Council wanted the Steering Committee to focus on. <br /> <br />Councilmember Look stated the City needed to keep the momentum going. <br /> <br />Deputy City Administrator Nelson asked if Council wanted to go out to the market for an RFP. <br /> <br />Mayor Ramsey requested staff start working on obtaining an RFP. <br /> <br />Deputy.City Administrator Nelson stated an RFP process would take 4-6 weeks. <br /> <br />MAYOR, COUNCIL AND STAFF INPUT <br /> <br />Mayor Ramsey asked if Council wanted a worksession on September 29.
