<br />Motion by Mayor Ramsey, seconded by Councilmember Wise, to Adopt Resolution #09-08-189 <br />Adopting Findings of Fact #0851 relating to the Applicant's request for a Home Occupation <br />Permit. <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Councilmember Dehen asked if the Findings of Fact adequately address the <br />parking issue. City Attorney Goodrich stated the Findings of Fact will not address that, but the <br />permit will address the parking area in paragraph #7. Associate ~lanner Gladhill stated it has <br />been the past policy to state that the City will allow vehicles t6 have. free motion outside of the' <br />driveway, and staffis more concerned about screening the vehicles from the adjoining property. <br />He added the Code does not require a full fence or gate in the front to block the view. <br />Councilmember Dehen asked if the applicant considered utilizing. an accessory structure for <br />storage. Mr. GranlS stated he has considered this but there is not enough room on the property to <br />get the trucks inside. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Ramsey, Councilmembers Wise, Dehen, Elvig, and Look. <br />Voting No: Councilmember McGlone. Discussion: City Attorney Goodrich asked the City Council if it wished to place a <br />restriction on truck size. <br /> <br />Councilmember Elvig amended his. motion to add that the Applicant's vehicles shall not exceed <br />26,000 GVW and that only two vehicles shall be permitted on the Subject Property. <br /> <br />Councilmember Wise seconded the amended motion. <br /> <br />Amended motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Ramsey, Councilmembers Elvig, Wise, Dehen, <br />and Look. Voting No: Councilmember McGlone. Absent: Councilmember Jeffrey. <br /> <br />Case #7: <br /> <br />Request for a Home Occupation Permit; Case of David and Jean Hauan <br /> <br />Planning Manager Miller reviewed the staff report. <br /> <br />Councilmember McGlone requested further information regarding the applicant's ability to drive <br />his trucks when the road restrictions are in place. He stated he felt the proposed use would create <br />a nuisance and does not fit within the residential zoning of the area. <br /> <br />Applicant David Hauan, 16341 Jarvis Street, stated all of his trucks are not overweight, are <br />perfectly legal, and he is able to drive during road restrictions in the spring.
