The follow~g is a brief summary of actions taken in September and October that <br />may ~e ,of interest to the Planning Commission: <br /> <br />Requestfor a Home Occupation Permit to Operate a GeneratContractor Service at 16507 Germanium Sf <br />NW; Case of Mark Lofgren. The City Council denied the request for a home occupation on this parcel. <br />The Applicl,lnt has 90 days from the date of denial to comply with home occupation and off-street parking <br />reglilations. <br /> <br />Ordinance to Include Wind Energy Conversion Systems as a Conditional Use. The City Council adopted <br />Ordinance #09-12 to include Wind Energy Conversion Systems asa Conditional Use, effective October <br />19,2009. City Council removed the 1,000 foot setback from adjacent residential dwelling units. City <br />Council also removed the required Environmental Study. Elements of the Environmental Study can still <br />be required through the Conditional Use Permit process as needed. <br /> <br />Ordinance Related to Motor Vehicle Sales and Repairs in the B-2 & H..;1 Districts. The City Council <br />adopted Ordinance #09-13 to amend motor vehicle repair and service from a permitted use to a <br />conditional ,use, effective October 19,2009. <br /> <br />Request for a Conditional Use Permit to Permit Four Dogs at 6738 153rd Ln Nw. The City Council <br />approved the conditional use permit to allow four dogs and one temporary dog on this parcel. <br /> <br />Request to Divide Remaining Assess,ment Balance Between Two of Three Lots in the Ebony Woods Plat; <br />Case of Tim Holm. The City Council approved a request from Mr. Tim Holm to split the remaining <br />assessment balance from Improvement Project #05-23 (Ebony Street) between two of three future lots. <br />AS,the Planning Commission may recall, Ebony Woods is a three-lot minor subdivision approved in <br />2008. Mr. Holm has stated that ill order to sell one lot to get the necessary capital to pay the necessary <br />fees associated with the Ebony Woods plat, the split of the remaining assessment balance needs to occur <br />in this manner. Staff anticipates the Ebony Woods plat to be recorded in the near future with this <br />approval. <br /> <br />Update on the Brookfield Addition. The City ha~ been notified that the vacant parcels owned by <br />OakWood Land Development have entered 'the foreclosure process. The City Engineer and other staff <br />continue to work with 21st Century Bank to address outstanding obligations related to the Development <br />, Agreement and are working on a revised Development Agreement to move forward. <br /> <br />Update on Off-Street Parking Ordinance Amendment. City Staff met with City Council at a Work <br />Session on' October 27,2009 to further discuss amendments to the City's Off-Stre'et Parking Ordinance. <br /> <br />49 <br />
