Mayor Ramsey introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #09-07-148 RESOLUTION A WARDING IMPROVEMENT PROJECT 08-29, ALPINE PARK W A TERMAIN LOOP WHEREAS, on August 12,2008 the Ramsey City Council authorized the solicitation of bids from plans prepared by City staff; and WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bid for Improvement Project 08-29, Alpine Park Watermain Loop, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law; and WHEREAS, the following is a summary of the bids that were received: Contractor LaTour Construction Northwest Asphalt Kuechle Underground Northdale Construction S- K Contracting C.W. Houle Ryan Contracting Dryden Excavating Dave Perkins Contracting S.R Weidema Total Bid $274,027.50 $277,610.45 $292,057.80 $293,232.81 $299,127.50 $303,334.50 $304,163.50 $305,83050 $310,450.00 $311,312.71 WHEREAS, LaTour Construction, Inc. is the lowest responsible bidder. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: I) That the Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with LaTour Construction, Inc. for Improvement Project 08-29, Alpine Park Watermain Loop in the amount of $274,027.50; and 2) That the City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids.
