<br />CONSENT #6 <br /> <br />INTRODUCE ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 7 WHICH IS KNOWN AS <br />THE LICENSING AND PERMITS CHAPTER OF THE CITY CODE, <br />SPECIFICALLY 7.01.05 AND 7.20 IN ITS ENTIRETY <br />By: Jo Thieling, City Clerk <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />The City Council discussed changes to the licensing chapter of the City's Code earlier <br />this evening at their work session. Proposed language was presented that would change <br />the name of the Business Registration Certificate to Business License, change the term of <br />all licenses (with the exception of special events and peddler/solicitor/transient merchant) <br />from January 1 to December 31 to July 1 to June 30 of the following year, make the <br />Business License the primary license with other licenses such as gasoline, tobacco sales, <br />etc. as addendums, and discontinue charging businesses the additional $30 or $15 <br />Business License charge if they already pay a fee for another type of operating license. <br /> <br />If Council is in agreement with the language presented at the Work Session, that <br />ordinance is now ready for introduction. <br /> <br />Council Action: <br /> <br />Introduce an Ordinance amending Chapter 7, which is known as the Licensing and <br />Perinits Chapter of the City Code, specifically 7.01.05 and 7.20 in its entirety. <br /> <br />Reviewed by: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br />City Attorney <br />Crime Prevention speci~.list '., ( <br />Police Chief G-- <br />City Administrator: . <br /> <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />CC: 11110/09 <br />
