At the May 1, 2003 Public Hearing, several residents of Rivlyn
Ave. brought forward their concerns regarding the zoning change of their property to an
Employment Zomng designation since among other things, it would make their single-family
homes non-conforming uses. The Planning Commission tabled action to the Jnne 5, 2003
Planning Commission meeting while staff re-notified the neighborhood about the pending action.
At the June meeting, the res/dents presented a petition opposing the rezoning and requested that
the City bring forward a Comprehensive Plan Amendment tO change their single-family homes
back to the Low Density Residential designation.
