Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #03-08-XXX RESOLUTION APPROVING 1sT PARTIAL PAYMENT TO UNIVERSAL ENTERPRISES OF MID-MINNESOTA, INC. FOR 2003 PAVEMENT MAINTENANCE PROGRAM WHEREAS, on May 1_~, _00_~, the Ramsey City Council authorized plans and specifications and advertisement for bids on 2003 Pavement Maintenance Program - Division B, and WHEREAS, on June 10, 2003, the R amsey City Council adopted Resolution # 03-06- XXX awarding the bid for _00,~ Pavement Maintenance Pro,am - Division B Universal Enterprises of Mid-Minnesota, Inc. in the amount of $197,388.75, and WHEREAS, City Engineer, Steve Jankowski has inspected the completed work and recommends partial payment to Universal Enterprises of Mid-Minnesota, Inc. in the amomnt of $172,184.17 NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOBL~_ COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the City Council hereby authorizes partial payment to Universal Enterprises of Mid- Minnesota for improvement Project 2003 Pavement Maintenance Program - Division B in the amount of $172,184A 7. 2) That the City Council hereby accepts the project and authorizes the M..ayor or City Administrator to sign the release form for this payment. 3) That the total amount of this payment is not included in resolutions approving payment of bills for the date of August 26, 2003~ 4) That the City of Ramsey Finance Department will be provided a si~oned copy of this resolution.
