<br />CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a City Council Work Session on Tuesday, October 13, <br />2009, at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 7550 Sunwood Drive NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Bob Ramsey <br />Councilmember David Elvig <br />Councilmember Matt Look <br />Councilmember Colin McGlone <br />Councilmember Jeffrey Wise <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator Kurtis Ulrich <br />Deputy City Administrator Heidi A. Nelson <br />Public Works Director Brian Olson <br />Community Development Director Amber Miller <br />Fire Chief Dean Kapler <br />Environmental Coordinator Chris Anderson <br />Police Chief James Way <br />City Attorney Bill Goodrich <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Ramsey called the City Council Work Session to order at 5:14 p.m. <br /> <br />APPROVE AGENDA <br /> <br />The agenda was approved as submitted. <br /> <br />COUNCIL TOPICS FOR DISCUSSION <br /> <br />1) Administrative Fines <br /> <br />Police Chief Way reviewed staff's report. <br /> <br />Councilmember Look stated he did not see these fines as a benefit and he recommended <br />proceeding no further. He believed the City would receive a lot of complaints regarding these <br />fines if they were implemented. <br /> <br />Councilmember Wise and Mayor Ramsey agreed. <br /> <br />Councilmember McGlone believed these types of fines would take up too much staff time to <br />enforce and administer. <br /> <br />City Council Work Session I October 13, 2009 <br />Page 1 of 4 <br />
