CONSIDER A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE RESIGNATION OF A PARK <br />AND RECREATION COMMISSION MEMBER <br />Background <br />Personnel Committee Action <br />By: Givonna Reed Kone, Human Resources Manager <br />On November 4, 2009, Amber Erickson, Park and Recreation Commissioner, submitted a <br />letter of resignation. Ms. Erickson's current term will expire March 31, 2010 and her <br />resignation is effective as soon as a replacement can be appointed. <br />In early 2009, the City Council conducted an extensive recruitment process for several <br />board and commission vacancies. Mr. Shane Bennett was selected as an alternate for the <br />Park and Recreation Commission. <br />Staff is recommending that Ms. Erickson's resignation be accepted and that Mr. Shane <br />Bennett be appointed to serve the remainder of Ms. Erickson's current term as well as the <br />next regular term: November 25, 2009 —March 31, 2014. <br />Consider making a motion to accept Ms. Erickson's resignation from the Park and <br />Recreation Commission and to appoint Mr. Shane Bennett to serve the remainder of Ms. <br />Erickson's current term as well as the next regular term: November 25, 2009 —March 31, <br />2014. <br />Reviewed By ts_.±)1 <br />City Administrator <br />CC: November 24, 2009 <br />PC Case 1 <br />
