Councilmember Look introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #09-09-219 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING 1ST PARTIAL PAYMENT TO HENNEN CONSTRUCTION CO. FOR IP 08-27, 167TH AVENUE REALIGNMENT WHEREAS, the Ramsey City Council authorized the preparation of plans and specifications for the above referenced work on April 8, 2008; and WHEREAS, the Ramsey City Council approved the plans and specifications and authorized the advertisement for bids for the above referenced work on April 28, 2009; and WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for IP 08-27, 167th Avenue Realignment; bids were received, opened, tabulated, and a project awarded according to law on June 23, 2009; and WHEREAS, Public Works Director/Principal City Engineer, Brian Olson has inspected the completed work and recommends partial payment to Hennen Construction Co. in the amount of$189,146.76. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the City Council hereby authorizes partial payment to Hennen Construction Co. for Improvement Project 08-27, 167th Avenue Realignment in the amount of$189,146.76. 2) That the City Council hereby accepts the partial pay request and authorizes the Mayor or City Administrator to sign the release form for this payment. 3) That the total amount of this payment is not included in resolutions approving payment of bills for the date of September 22, 2009. 4) That the City of Ramsey Finance Department will be provided a signed copy of this resolution.
