<br />Councilmember Look introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #09-04-084 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING STAFF TO SEEK PROPOSALS FOR CITY TOWING <br />CONTRACT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey currently has a contract for towing services with North <br />Star Towing that expires Jun 30~ 2009; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, City staff is asking for authorization to seek contract proposals for the City <br />of Ramsey towing needs for a two-year period; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, upon Council approval, a notice will be published in the City's legal <br />newspaper, The Anoka County Union; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, staff is aware of four towing companies that have shown interest in <br />providing a proposal for service and upon Council authorization, a request for proposal will be <br />sent to these four companies. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) That the Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes City staff to seek proposals for a two- <br />year city towing contract. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Dehen~ and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Ramsey <br />Councilmember Look <br />Councilmember Dehen <br />Councilmember Elvig <br />Councilmember Jeffrey <br />Councilmember McGlone <br />Councilmember Wise <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />None <br />
