<br />Mayor Ramsey introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #09-07-142 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING CONTRACTING FOR TOWING SERVICES: <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey had a contract for towing services with North Star <br />Towing that expired June 30, 2009. Staffis requesting authorization to enter into a contract for <br />towing services for the City of Ramsey for a two year period. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a notice was published iIi the Anoka County Union once a week for two <br />weeks beginning May 1,2009. The deadline for proposals was Friday, May 29,2009 at 4:30 p.m. <br />The same RFP that was used in 2007 was used with minor changes. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Staffwas aware of four towing companies that had shown interest in <br />providing a proposal for service. These four companies were mailed requests for proposals <br />. during the release date. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, three proposals were received by the City that met the requirements as <br />stated in the RFP. The three proposals were reviewed with Council at the Council Work Session <br />on June 30, 2009. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THIS CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) Staff shall enter into a contract with a vendor, based on Council discussion, to perform <br />towing services for the City of Ramsey. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Wise, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Ramsey <br />Councilmember Wise <br />Councilmember Dehen <br />Councilmember Look <br />Councilmember McGlone <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />Councilmember Elvig <br />Councilmember Jeffrey <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />None <br />
