<br />Councilmember Jeffrey introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #09-08-172 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION TO AMEND RESOLUTION #09-07-138 ESTABLISHING THE <br />RAMSEY TOWN CENTER STEERING COMMITTEE TO PROVIDE FOR AN <br />ADDITIONAL MEMBER <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the purpose of the Ramsey Town Center Steering Committee (RTCSC) would <br />be to provide guidance and direction to the City Council/Housing Redevelopment Authority <br />(HRA) and Economic Development Authority (EDA) for the development of the approximately <br />150 acres of the Ramsey Town Center, owned by the City of Ramsey; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the RTCSC would review costs of necessary utility, road, and park <br />improvements and identify funding sources; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the R TCSC would consider a phased implementation plan for the <br />development of the property; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the RTCSC would define a sales price for the land and draft development <br />agreements that take into account previous assessments, common area obligations and long-term <br />maintenance; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the RTCSC would develop a marketing and/or solicitation program for the <br />property; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the RTCSC would develop criteria and process for public participation; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is proposed that the RTCSC would be comprised of five to eight members, <br />consisting of Councilmembers, not to exceed three in number, EDA Members, not to exceed two <br />in number, and up to three other members (resident and/or business owner) ; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is proposed that the RTCSC would meet on Thursday mornings at 7:30 <br />a.m., opposite of the regularEDA meetings; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at the June 30, 2009 City Council Work Session, Council discussed <br />organization of the RTCSC and also membership and suggested Councilmembers Elvig, Jeffrey <br />and Wise to serve on the Committee as well as EDA Members John LeTourneau and Kristine <br />Williams; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the resident and/or business owner representation will be Brad Lano, Will <br />Thompson, and Gary Sauer; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council directed staff to bring forward a resolution to formally <br />establish the Ramsey Town Center Steering Committee. <br />
