Our Quality Management Department consists of three certified construction <br />specifiers headed by Rod Erickson, FCSI/CCS. Rod is an instructor and author on construction <br />documents and technology and a national lecturer on building systems and materials. <br /> <br /> <br />Sustainable Design <br />ATS&R's projects encompass all of the I <br />principles of sustainable design from life <br />cycle performance to materials selection. <br />ATS&R has been designing for energy <br />efficiency for over 30 years and was invited <br />by the American Lung Association to serve <br />on the Indoor Air Quality Task Force to <br />develop guidelines to improve indoor air <br />quality in schools. Additionally, ATS&R <br />has experience designing buildings with <br />attention given to building related illness <br />(BRI) and sick building syndrome. <br /> <br />----------__________________________________________________________________J <br /> <br />4 <br /> <br />Construction Cost Estimating <br />Sixty-five years of specializing in <br />facility design provides ATS&R with <br />an established history and expertise <br />to successfully identify needs and <br />project accurate budgets. The <br />budgets developed by ATS&R <br />include all items required for the <br />design, construction, furnishings/ <br />fixtures/ equipment, on-site/ off-site <br />development, start-up costs, and <br />operational cost estimates. ATS&R <br />utilizes cost records from previous <br />projectsj ,meets with suppliers, <br />vendors, and contractors; utilizes the <br />building cost indexes; meets with the <br />city and county; and meets with the <br />owner to ensure all needs have been <br />included. <br />
