. Continual monitoring of submittal process to ensure congressional leaders and staff representatives
in both the House and Senate received and processed funding requests; maintained contact with
appropriate federal offices responsible for tracking and management of requests.
. Continue~ work with other congressional offices including Congressman Oberstar, Chair of the
House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, to exchange. information and encourage
support.
. Arranged visits with congressional leaders and staff in Washington D.C. including Senators Klobuchar
and Franken, Congresswoman Bachmann and Congressman Oberstar; maintained a monthly
presence in Washington D.C. to ensure a high level of project awareness and exposure.
. Met with Senator Klobuchar and Senator Franken staff in local offices to discuss project viability an.d
needs providing updates as funding needs changed.
. Provided communication and coordination among project partners; met regularly with City, County
and private partners to review strategy, progress, needs and outcomes.

The most significant outcome of the work completed to date is that a complete funding package made
up of local, state and federal sources has been identified for the construction of the rail station. This
funding package requires fewer Reauthorization dollars and makes Ramsey an even more attractive and
viable candidate for federal support. The strong and diligent position Ramsey has taken to advance the
completion of the rail station has been solidified in the minds of decision-makers and policy leaders as a
result of this work, and continuing these efforts is essential to realizing the final goal of securing funds.

1 1
