<br />Motion by Councilmember Look, seconded by Mayor Ramsey, to introduce an ordinance to <br />Repeal Article 14 (Rental Residential Dwelling Units) of Chapter 26 of the Ramsey City Code. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Dehen, seconded by Mayor Ramsey, to amend the motion directing <br />staff to draft a maintenance ordinance in effect as soon as possible after the adoption of this <br />ordinance. <br /> <br />Councilmember Look stated he was in favor of the amendment, but not the original motion. <br /> <br />Amended Motion carried. V oting Yes: Mayor Ramsey, Councilmembers Dehen, Elvig, Look, . <br />McGlone, and Wise. Voting No: None. Absent: Councilmember Jeffrey. <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Councilmember Wise noted he was also a landlord, but not in the City of <br />Ramsey. <br /> <br />Motion carried. COUNCIL BUSINESS <br /> <br />7.01: 2010 Council Organization <br /> <br />City Administrator Ulrich reviewed the staff report. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Look, seconded by Councilmember Elvig, to Adopt Resolution #10- <br />01-015 for 2010 Council organization; and adopt Resolution # 10-01-016 designating financial <br />institutions as official depositories of City funds for 2010; and to adopt Resolution #10-01-017 <br />designating Village Bank as official financial institution for the City of Ramsey banking services <br />for the year 2010; and adopt Resolution #10-01-018 authorizing signatures for financial <br />transactions. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Ramsey, Councilmembers Look, Elvig, Dehen, McGlone, <br />and Wise. Voting No: None. Absent: Councilmember Jeffrey. <br /> <br />7.02: Request for a Conditional Use Permit to Exceed the Total Amount of <br />Accessory Structure Square Footage; Case of Gene and Cindy Goede <br /> <br />Associate Planner Gladhill reviewed the staff report. <br /> <br />Councilmember Look stated he remembered when the new structure was being discussed that the <br />applicant had agreed to take down the old structure, which had not been done. He stated he was <br />not opposed to this, but he wanted a matching exterior. <br /> <br />Councilmember Dehen agreed with Councilmember Look that the applicant had reneged on his <br />agreement to take down the building and he was in favor of approving this request. <br /> <br />City Council / January 12, 2010 <br />Page 8 of 13 <br />
