<br />CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a City Council Work Session on Tuesday, December 8, <br />2009, at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 7550 Sunwood Drive NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Bob Ramsey <br />Councilmember John Dehen <br />Councilmember David Elvig <br />Councilmember David Jeffrey <br />Councilmember Matt Look <br />Councilmember Colin McGlone <br />COUncilmember Jeffrey Wise <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator Kurtis Ulrich <br />Public Works Director Brian Olson <br />Fire Chief Dean Kapler <br />Assistant City Engineer Steve Jankowski <br />City Attorney Bill Goodrich <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Ramsey called the City Council Work Session to order at 5:34 p.m. <br /> <br />APPROVE AGENDA <br /> <br />The agenda was approved as submitted. <br /> <br />COUNCIL TOPICS FOR DISCUSSION <br /> <br />1) Discuss Access Management on Ramsey Boulevard <br /> <br />Assistant City Engineer Jankowski reviewed the staff report. <br /> <br />Councilmember Dehen asked if the median was opened up, was the potential whistle free zone <br />not possible. <br /> <br />Public Works Director Olson responded there had to be a 100-foot median both to the south and <br />to the north of the track in order to have a whistle free zone. <br /> <br />Andy Witter, County of Anoka, stated this was a narrow median and there was not a place for a <br />turn lane. He noted with the railroad tracks and the intersection, this was not something the <br />County was interested in. <br /> <br />City Council Work Session / December 8, 2009 <br />Page 1 of6 <br />
