Consent # ~ ~S
DECLARE CERTAIN IT EQUIPMENT AS EXCESS
AND AUTHORIZE AD FOR BIDS
By: Dean Busch, IT Manager
Background:
Staff has identified excess computer equipment that is no longer in use due to equipment
replacement and upgrades. Computers are replaced on a schedule of every four years. In past
years, the replaced equipment has been outdated which resulted in little or no value and they
were recycled. However, some computer equipment being replaced now has some resale value.
Staff is estimating there will be 15 computers, 10 CRT monitors, and miscellaneous equipment
such as keyboards, mice, and power cords. Staff is requesting authorization to declare this
equipment as excess and to place an ad for bids in the Anoka County Union.
Funding Source:
No funding required other than the cost for the ad, which will be taken from the Administration
Publication Budget.
Staff Recommendation:
Staff is recommending Council declare the computer equipment excess and authorize an ad for
bids of same.
Council Action:
Motion to declare computer equipment as excess inventory and authorize an ad for bids in the
Anoka County Union.
Reviewed by:
IT Manager
Deputy City Administrat r/ ity evelo ment Director
City Administrator:
CC: 01/26/10
