CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a City Council Work Session on Tuesday, December 8, <br />2009, at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 7550 Sunwood Drive NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br />Members Present: Mayor Bob Ramsey <br />Councilmember John Dehen <br />Councilmember David Elvig <br />Councilmember David Jeffrey <br />Councilmember Matt Look <br />Councilmember Colin McGlone <br />Councilmember Jeffrey Wise <br />Also Present: City Administrator Kurtis Ulrich <br />Public Works Director Brian Olson <br />Fire Chief Dean Kapler <br />Assistant City Engineer Steve Jankowski <br />City Attorney Bill Goodrich <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />Mayor Ramsey called the City Council Work Session to order at 5:34 p.m. <br />APPROVE AGENDA <br />The agenda was approved as submitted. <br />COUNCIL TOPICS FOR DISCUSSION <br />1) Discuss Access Management on Ramsey Boulevard <br />Assistant City Engineer Jankowski reviewed the staff report. <br />Councilmember Dehen asked if the median was opened up, was the potential whistle free zone <br />not possible. <br />Public Works Director Olson responded there had to be a 100-foot median both to the south and <br />to the north of the track in order to have a whistle free zone. <br />Andy Witter, County of Anoka, stated this was a narrow median and there was not a place for a <br />turn lane.
