Further discussion: Councilmember McGlone noted in using a subcontractor the City would save on fuel costs, as well as wear and tear on the City vehicles, and the subcontractor would be liable for any damage and not the City. He thanked staff for their due diligence on this. Councilmember Wise stated he was glad to see a Ramsey business owner got the contract. Motion carried. Case #8: Ramsey Arbor Properties, LLC versus City of Ramsey, Anoka County District Court Action -CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC Removed from the Agenda. Case #9: Award Contract for Architectural and Construction Management Services for Build-Out of Lease Space in Municipal Center City Administrator Ulrich reviewed the staff report. Finance Director Lund summarized the Finance Committee's discussion and recommendation. Motion by Councilmember Look, seconded by Councilmember Elvig, to award the Contract for Architectural and Construction Management Services for Build-Out of Lease Space in the Municipal Center. MAYOR, COUNCIL AND STAFF INPUT 1) Reminder: There is no Public Works Committee meeting on Tuesday December 15, 2009. There will be an HRA meeting. 2) Reminder: There is no City Council meeting on December 22, 2009. This is the final CC meeting of the year. City Administrator Ulrich stated there was a possibility of a special Council meeting on December 15 to discuss Case #8 which had been pulled from tonight's agenda. 3) Councilmember Wise stated the snowmobile trails should not be used until there was six inches of snow. 4) Councilmember McGlone noted there was one weekend left for the Ebenezer community theatre production at PACT Charter School.
