New Sub-Committee Created! <br />Ramsey Housing Committee <br /> <br />The Economic Development Authority created a sub-committee in November of 2002, to <br />address housing issues and concerns in Ramsey. The Ramsey Housing Committee consists of <br />six residents and one EDA liaison; they meet the 3rd Thursday of every month at 3:30pm at City <br />Hall. <br /> <br />The following Ramsey residents serve on the committee: <br /> · Keith Kiefer is the EDA liaison for the.housing committee, he is a long time resident, and <br /> an Engineering Consultant. <br /> · Susan Anderson is a former City Council member, served on the EDA, and has lived in <br /> Ramsey since 1994. <br /> · Suzanne Dvorak has lived in Ramsey since 1997 and has been an active resident serving <br /> on the Environmental Policy Task Force and citizen group "Ramsey Residents for the <br /> Town Center." <br /> · Michelle Osterhus is a 10-year Ramsey resident, a Real Estate Agent, and is eager to be <br /> participating on a local committee. <br /> · Richard Kruger is a former maintenance employee for District #11, retired Building <br /> Official, and has been a Ramsey resident for over 18 years. <br /> · Mary Jo Olson is self employed, working in market analysis and research, and has lived <br /> in Ramsey with her family for the past 10 years. <br /> · Rick Thompson has been living in Ramsey for 4 years, is a Real Estate Agent, and has <br /> been a Construction Project Manager for over 25 years. <br /> <br />The Ramsey Housing Committee's mission statement is "To assist with promoting and <br />preserving housing in the City of Ramsey for households of all types and economic levels." After <br />only one meeting, the committee is eager to begin looking at demographic information pertaining <br />to the City of Ramsey's existing housing stock, provide recommendations on how to preserve <br />historical sites and look at new housing opportunities, and obtain information on housing grants <br />and low interest loan opportunities for first time home buyers. In the next few months, the <br />housing committee will also be reviewing a Residential Housing Maintenance Ordinance. The <br />Ramsey Housing Committee members are excited to be apart of this sub-committee and look <br />forward to addressing a variety of important housing issues in:the City of Ramsey. <br /> <br /> <br />
