Motion by Richard Kruger to approve the 3/20/03 meeting <br />minutes, Mary Jo Olson seconded, all in favor, motion passed. <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />Review proposed housing maintenance ordinance. Community Development. <br />Intern Geisler reviewed the draft housing maintenance and rental licensing <br />ordinances, as well as staff-recommended changes. There was discussion of <br />occupancy restrictions, particularly differences between occupancy limits in rental <br />versus owner-occupied housing units. There was also discussion of language referring <br />to bathrooms and kitchens. The committee discussed whether an owner would need to <br />make changes to their unit before it could be rented. Chair K/efer requested an update <br />from staff on changes made to the ordinance before its formal adoption. <br /> <br />Motion by Chair Kiefer to direct staff to make the discussed changes and forward the <br />ordinance to the EDA, Planning Commission, or City Council as appropriate, Dick <br />Krueger seconded, alt in favor, motion passed. <br /> <br />Motion by Chair Kiefer to table Cases #2, #3, and #4 until the next meeting, Dick Kruger <br />seconded, all in favor, motion passed. <br /> <br />Member Input. Dick Kruger discussed an article from the Star TribUne on Morris, <br />Minnesota's rental inspection ordinance. <br /> <br />Motion by Mary Jo Olson to adjourn the meeting, Dick Krueger seconded, all in favor, <br />motion passed. <br /> : <br /> <br />Meeting adjourned. <br /> <br /> <br />
