PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT GOALS
Community Goals
The following general goals are drawn from the City of Ramsey's Comprehensive Plan
and are most pertinent to this project:

A Place with a Variety of Housing Opportunities: We should encourage, where
possible, residential developments that provide a full range of housing opportunities from
large lots to moderate size lots, from large homes to small homes and from .high valued
housing to modest valued housing. Our housing stock should allow residents the
opportunity to remain in the community and become life-long residents by affording
them opportunities to move into alternative forms of housing as their lifestyles change
over time.

A Place to Presem, e Natural Resources: Ramsey has an abundance of natural resources.
As development occurs, these resources become more threatened. It is important to
preserve and protect areas that may be suitable for development but more desired for their
natural use such as wetlands for storm water infiltration, slope preservation for erosion
control or woodlands or prairies for wildlife habitat. Encouraging environmentally
sensitive design and development will help preserve these natural resources.

Other community goals relevant to this project include:
· I. Achieve an appropriate balance between land uses and housing types.
· I- Establish trails and con~idors that provide connections to all areas of the community.
· :. Involve neighborhood residents in the planning process.
· ~.
