<br />Board Member Brauer introduced the following resolution,and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />'RESOLUTION #08'-09-167 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ADOPTING FINDINGS OF FACT #0829 RELATING TO A REQUEST <br />FOR A VARIANCE TO ACCESSORY BUILDING SIDEWALL HEIGHT <br />RESTRICT10NS, <br /> <br />, ' ' <br />. WHEREAS, Chad & Melodie Storbakken, hereinafter referred to as "Applicants," have <br />properly applied for a variance from Section 9.11.02 (Accessory Uses & Buildings) of the <br />Ramsey City Code to construct an accessory structure with side walls in excess often (10) feet in <br />height on the property generally known' as 16021 Osmium St NW, and legally described as <br />~M: ' <br /> <br />Lpt 2, Block 7, Hall-Anderson Acres, subject to easement as shown on the plat, (subject <br />to easement grant 4-2-74), Anoka County, Minnesota <br /> <br />(Subject Property) , <br /> <br />NOW 1'HEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY Tim BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT OF THE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY, ANO~ COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />'1. That the Boa.+d of Adjustment ~onducted a public hearing pursuant to Section 9.03.07 of the <br />Ramsey' City" Code on September 4, 2008 and that said public hearing was properly <br />advertised', and that the minutes of said public hearing are hereby incorporated as apart of <br />these fIndings by reference. ' <br /> <br />2. That the Subject Property is zoned R..;l Single Family Residential (Rural Developing) and is <br />approximately 1.44 acres in size. <br /> <br />, ' , <br />3,. ' 'That the Subject Property is surrounded by properties ,similar ,in size or larger and also zoned <br />R-1 Single Fami~y Residential (Rural Developing). <br /> <br />4. That Section 9.11.02 of the Ramsey City Code restricts the sidewall height of accessory <br />buildings to ten (10) feet on properties less than two (2) acres in size and the overall height, <br />measured to the,mean gable height of the roof, to a maximum of sixteen (16) feet. <br /> <br />5. That the proposed accessory building will comply' with the overall height limitation of sixteen <br />, (16) feet meaSured at'mean gable height but would have sidewalls that are thirteen and a half <br />(13.5) feet in height. " <br /> <br />6. That the Applicants would 'like to construct the building to accommodate interior storage of <br />extra vehicles, includiIig a larger truck and a future RV, a boat and, other qllscellaneous items; <br />the minimum garage door height neces~ary to accommodate these items is twelve (12) feet. <br /> <br />7. That there ~s an existing shed on the Subject Property that is riinety-six (96) square feet (8' x <br />12') and an attached garage that is;576 square feet (22' x 24'). <br /> <br />39 <br />
