<br />PARK AND RECREATION COMMISSION <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />ST ATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey Park and Recreation Commission conducted a regular meeting on January 14,2010, <br />at Ramsey Municipal Center, 7550 SunwoodDrive NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Commission Members Present: <br /> <br />Chairperson Jill Johns <br />Commissioner Randy Backous <br />Commissioner Bridget Barr <br />Commissioner Shane Bennett <br />Commissioner Angela Olsen <br />Commissioner Tom LaMere <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />Parks Supervisor, Mark Riverblood <br />Civil Engineer II, Leonard Linton <br /> <br />Commissioners Absent: <br /> <br />Vice Chair Melody Shryock (excused) <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Chairperson Johns called the Park and Recreation Commission meeting to order at 6:32 p.m. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />Bill Casey, 18720 Ebony Street NW, Elk River, was present to represent Anoka Ramsey Youth, <br />Athletic Association and their Northern Light Soccer Club of which he is President. Mr. Casey <br />wanted to make it formally known where he stands in terms of the soccer program and present <br />what they are thinking in terms of the program and its support of a building at Elmcrest Park. He <br />stated that if it helps speed up the process that his program is willing to take some of their money <br />and put it toward the project to help facilitate moving things along quicker. He is also committed <br />to working with Parks Supervisor Mark Riverblood to work out some sort of maintenance <br />sharing agreement with regards to the building. <br /> <br />APPROVE AGENDA <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Olsen, seconded by Commissioner Backous to approve the Park and <br />Recreation Commission meeting agenda for the meeting dated January 14,2009. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Johns, Commissioner Olsen, Backous, Barr, Bennett, <br />LaMere. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />APPROVE MINUTES <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Olsen, seconded by Commissioner Barr to approve the following Park <br />and Recreation Commission Regular Meeting Minutes: <br /> <br />Park and Recreation Commission/January 14,2010 <br />Page 1 of3 <br />
