Metropolitan Council <br />January 28, 2010 <br />Ms. Amber Miller <br />Planning Director <br />City of Ramsey <br />7550 Sunwood Drive NW <br />Ramsey, Minnesota 55303 -5137 <br />RE: City of Ramsey 2030 Comprehensive Plan Update - Metropolitan Council Action <br />Metropolitan Council Review File No. 20652 -1 <br />Metropolitan Council District 9 <br />Dear Ms. Miller: <br />The Metropolitan Council reviewed the City of Ramsey's Comprehensive Plan Update (Update) <br />at its meeting on January 27, 2010. The Council based its review on the staff's report and <br />analysis (see attached). <br />The Council found that the City's Update meets all Metropolitan Land Planning Act <br />requirements, conforms to the regional system plans including transportation, aviation, water <br />resources management and parks, is consistent with the 2030 Regional Development Framework, <br />and is compatible with the plans of adjacent jurisdictions. <br />In addition to the Advisory Comments and Review Record, the Council ado_ pted the following <br />recommendations: <br />1. Authorize the City of Ramsey to put its 2030 Comprehensive Plan Update into effect. <br />2. Accept the revised forecasts identified in the Review Record. <br />3. Advise the City to: <br />a. Implement the advisory comments noted in the Review Record for Land Use, <br />Water Supply and Plan Implementation. <br />4. Approve the City of Ramsey's Tier II Comprehensive Sewer Plan. <br />Please consult the attached staff report for important information about the City's next steps. Of <br />particular importance are the Council's actions, listed on page 1, general Advisory Comments <br />listed on page 3, and the specific comments for technical review areas, which are found in the <br />body of the report.
