Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #10- 02 -XXX RESOLUTION RECEIVING A PETITION FOR THE BITUMINOUS PAVING OF CHAMELEON STREET NW IN THE SHAWN ACRES SUBDIVISION WHEREAS, a petition requesting the bituminous paving of Chameleon Street was received by staff on February 2, 2010 for the bituminous paving of Chameleon Street in the Shawn Acres Subdivision; and' WHEREAS, the City Clerk has verified that the petition has a minimum 35% support from the property owners which would receive benefit from this project. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That a certain petition requesting the bituminous-paving of Chameleon Street filed with the City Council on February 26, 2010 is hereby declared to be signed by the required percentage of owners of property affected thereby. This declaration is made in conformity to Minn. Stat.429.035. 2) That the petition is hereby, referred to the City Engineering department which is instructed to report to the Council with all convenient speed advising the Council in a preliminary way as to whether the proposed improvement is necessary, cost effective, and as to whether it should best be made as proposed or in connection with some other improvement, and the estimated cost of the improvement as recommended. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following voted against the same: and the following abstained: and the following were absent: whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 26th day of February, 2010.
