SUBDIVISION.GF LAND CHAPTER OF THE CITY CODE OF RAMSEY, MiNNESOTA. <br /> <br />. ,. . <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 117-1 (DEFIN1TIONS) OF THE RAMSEY <br />CITY CODE. <br /> <br />The C.ity of Ramsey ordains: <br />SECTION 1 AUTHORITY <br /> <br />This ordinance is adopted pursuant to and under the authority of the City Charter of the City of <br />Ramsey. <br /> <br />SECTION 2 AMEND <br />Section 117-1 of the Ramsey City Code is ~ended to include the following text (additions <br />indicated as underlined text, deletions are indicated as a strikethrough): <br /> <br />117-1 Deimitions <br /> <br />Driveway means an on. site traffic laoo leuding directly to a garage from the closest street acce,ss, <br />the ~.vidth of which cannot e}cceed the garage ':ridth by more than 15 feet, or in the absence of a <br />garage~ a traffic lane tq a parking pad that cannot exceed 20 feet ill '.vidth. An onsite prepared <br />surface traffic lane. the driveway shall be the traffic lane leading directly from a \'mblic street to <br />the principal garage: the width of which cannot exceed the garage width by more than fifteen <br />(15) feet. or in the absence of a garage. a traffic lane to a parking pad that cannot exceed twenty <br />(20) feet in width. Driveway parking may not extend beyond the front of the principal garage <br />without meeting the performance standards for side or rear yard parking. (Cannot exceed <br />maximum width at roadway under zoning district bulk standards). <br /> <br />Equipment, commercial use, means any motorized or non motorized apparatus whose primary <br />use is to facilitate the gencf"ation ofreyenue. A variety ofheavv machines, which perform <br />specific construction or demolition functions. such as hoisting. excavating. hauling. grading. <br />paving. drilling. or pile diiving. Under power. Trailers. either enclosed or flat-bed. 6x12 or <br />smaller would be . exempt unless they have a DOT Certificate or number: trailers used for <br />transport of recreational vehicles and not used for any commercial use are exempt. <br /> <br />. Motor vehicle, commercial use, means any day/ice designed to be self propelled that is eligible <br />for legaL operation on the public roads and high-,vaysand ',':hose primary use is to faci1itat~ the <br />generation of revenue.
