Steve Jankowski
From: Pam Everson [Pam.Everson@lifefitness.com]
Sent: Friday, February 19, 2010 8:53 AM
To: Steve Jankowski
Subject: Flintwood neighborhood traffic issues
Follow Up Flag: Follow. up
Flag Status: Completed
Steven,
We were unable to attend Tuesdays meeting where the 142nd Ave. road closure was addressed.
However, we would like to voice our opinion. We live right at the intersection of 142nd and Argon St. and we want the
road reopened.
We want it opened for convenience as well as for access to the local businesses. We also had a medical emergency last
fall which delayed the ambulance from arriving at our home. The ambulance driver did not know that he /she could drive
through the posts installed across the road. Thankfully, our emergency did not prove to be life threatening - -but easily
could have been. The additional time it took them to turn around and find an alternate route could have been the
difference between life and death.
All the wrong people know that they can drive through the barricades (and do). We still get a lot of traffic trying to cut
through, they just have to do a U -turn now and go back. Isn't the city tired of fixing the barricades? Aren't they tired of
sending out a special plow to take care of that section of the road?
Let's reopen the road that was built there to access the neighborhood)
Chris and Pam Everson
14158 Argon St. NW
s
